2014 Stanley Cup Odds to Win
(The Spread) - The odds to win the 2014 Stanley Cup have been released and despite not appearing in this year's NHL title series, the Penguins are currently favored to win next season's championship.
According to oddsmakers the Penguins have opened as an 11/2 favorite to win the 2014 Stanley Cup. The Blackhawks have the next best odds at 6/1 while the Bruins are 8/1 and the Rangers are 10/1. The 2012 Stanley Cup champion Kings are 12/1, while the Sharks, Red Wings, Blues, Capitals and Canucks are 15/1, respectively.
As of this writing the Blackhawks and Bruins are still battling for the right to be crowned 2013 Stanley Cup champions. But the Kings, Bruins, Hawks, Penguins, Red Wings, Ducks and Hurricanes are the last seven Cup winners.
Continuing with the latest odds, the Ducks are 18/1 to win the 2014 Stanley Cup, while the Senators are 20/1 and the Wild are 25/1. The Canadiens, Islanders and Maple Leafs are all 30/1, respectively, while the Flyers and Oilers are both 35/1, respectively.
Some of the mid-range long shots include the Devils, Lightning, Blue Jackets and Jets, who are all 40/1, while the Predators, Hurricanes, Avalanche and Coyotes are all 50/1, respectively.
The teams with the longest odds to win next year's NHL title are the Stars, who are 60/1, and the Sabres, who are 75/1. The Flames and Panthers both have the longest odds at 100/1.
