Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals features the Boston Bruins hosting the Chicago Blackhawks at 8PM ET (View Matchup). According to oddsmakers at, the Bruins are favored to win Game 3, as they have odds of -130 to win at home, while the Blackhawks have been given a money line of +110 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5 goals.

The Blackhawks struggled to find the net in Game 2, being held to one goal over more than three periods of play. Chicago outshot Boston 34-28 in the game, but that didn’t result in a win. Patrick Sharp took seven shots in the loss, and he has been given over/under odds of 4 shots on goal for tonight’s contest. Sharp has fired off 15 shots in the two games of the Stanley Cup Finals, but both of those games went into overtime. Sharp has had at least 4 shots in 10 of Chicago’s playoff games this year, and he is averaging 3.7 shots per game in the postseason.

The Bruins got their work done through some of their lesser-known players in Game 2, but some of the stars will have to step up in Game 3. Zdeno Chara had just two shots in Saturday’s contest, and he has now been given over/under odds of 2 shots for Game 3. The 6-9 defenseman has three shots through the two Finals games and he has had at least two shots in 13 of Boston’s playoff games. Chara is averaging 2.7 shots on goal in the playoffs.
