Andrei Vasilevskiy turned aside all 29 shots he faced during Wednesday’s 4-0 win over the Florida Panthers in Game 6. The Lightning played a solid defensive game in front of their superstar netminder and they spotted him 1-0 and 2-0 leads after the first two periods. This was the first shutout of the series for the 26-year-old goaltender. He now has a 4-2 record with a 2.64 goals-against-average and a .929 save percentage in this postseason. The Bolts will take on either Carolina or Nashville in the next round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. No matter who the Bolts play, they’ll have the advantage between the pipes with Vasilevskiy.

Alex Nedeljkovic made 24 saves on 27 shots during Thursday’s 4-3 OT win over the Nashville Predators in Game 6. Nedeljkovic allowed three goals on a total of 27 shots and finished his night with a .889 save percentage. This was not Nedeljkovic’s best performance, and in fact this was the first time during this entire series that Nedeljkovic failed to crack a .900 save percentage. He redeemed himself in the third and overtime, where he allowed no goals and helped his team win this series and earn a spot in the second round. Nedeljkovic will have to be at the top of his game heading forward if he wants a serious shot at taking home the Stanley Cup, as the road to the finals this year only gets tougher. The defending champions, the Tampa Bay Lightning, are up next against the Hurricanes and Nedeljkovic will have to play his best hockey if he hopes to compete with Andrei Vasileskiy on the other end of the ice.
