Canadiens vs. Lightning Game 6 Odds
TAMPA, FL (TheSpread) – The Tampa Bay Lightning could be feeling the pressure tonight at 7:30PM ET as they host the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6 of their series.
Tampa Bay is now 57-29-8 on the season and 35-11-1 at home while Montreal is 56-26-11 overall and 27-15-4 on the road. The Lightning had a 3-0 lead in the series, but Montreal has since won back-to-back games to force this series to six games. Tampa Bay had won eight meetings with Montreal this season before the Canadiens finally solved the Tamp puzzle. These two have hit the under in three of the five games in the series.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Tampa Bay is favored at home, as the Lightning are getting odds of -155 to win, while the Canadiens are getting a money line of +140 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 4.5 goals.
Montreal picked up a 2-1 win in Game 5 at home on Saturday. The Canadiens got the game-winner from P.A. Parenteau with just over four minutes left in regulation. Montreal had established a 1-0 lead in the first period when Devante Smith-Pelly scored, but Tampa evened things up in the third period when Steven Stamkos scored on a rebound. Other than allowing the Stamkos goal, Carey Price had 24 saves in net for Montreal.
