(TheSpread) – Two NHL powers meet in the second round of the NHL Playoffs, as the Pittsburgh Penguins face the New York Rangers.

The Penguins are the top seed in the Metropolitan Region, while the Rangers are the No. 2 seed in the region. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Pittsburgh is the slight favorite to win this series, as the Penguins have odds of -150 to win, while the Rangers have a money line of +130 to win the series.

Pittsburgh was 51-24-7 on the season, totaling 109 points. The Penguins were 28-9-4 at home and 23-15-3 on the road. Pittsburgh scored 249 goals during the season while allowing just 207. The Penguins advanced to this series by beating the Columbus Blue Jackets in six games. The Penguins saw both of their losses come in OT and five of the six games were decided by one goal.

Philadelphia went 42-30-10 overall this season, earning a total of 94 points. The Flyers were 24-14-3 at home this season while going just 18-16-7 on the road. Philadelphia scored 236 goals on the season, but allowed 235, which is the most goals allowed of any playoff team. The Rangers advanced to the second round by beating the Flyers in seven games. The Rangers never won back-to-back games in the series.

These two teams met four times during the regular season, with each team winning twice. Both teams won a game at home and a game on the road. New York posted 14 goals in the four games while the Penguins scored 13 goals. The two hit the over in all four meetings this season.
