(TheSpread) – The Pittsburgh Penguins hope to start a successful playoff run tonight when they face the New York Islanders in the NHL Playoffs. Here is a look at the odds for this series.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Penguins are the clear favorite to win this series, as they have odds of -450 to win, while the Islanders have been given a money line of +350 to win. The Penguins are the top seed in the Eastern Conference while the Islanders are the No. 8 seed. Game 1 of this series takes place tonight at 7:30PM ET in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is 36-12 on the season, 18-6 at home and 18-6 on the road. New York is 24-17-7 overall, 10-11-3 at home and 14-6-4 on the road. These two teams met five times during the season with Pittsburgh claiming wins in four of those five games. All of the games were decided by at least two goals and Pittsburgh has won seven of its last 10 against the Islanders.
