Chicago is the third seed in the Central region and it is now 52-30-6 on the season. Minnesota was the wild card selection for the Central region and the Wild are now 50-30-8 on the season. The Blackhawks advanced to the second with a six-game series win over the Nashville Predators. The Wild reached the conference semifinals thanks to a six-game series win over the St. Louis Blues.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, the Blackhawks are the slight favorite in this series, as they are getting odds of -135 to win, while the Wild are getting a money line of +115 to prevail. Game 1 of the series takes place on Friday at 9:30PM ET.
These two met five times during the regular season, with Chicago winning three of the five meetings. The Wild won the last two encounters and each team picked up a road win over the other. In the distant history, Chicago has won five of its last seven against the Wild. These two have hit the under in five of their last seven meetings, including three times this season.
