Capitals vs. Rangers Series Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Two divisional foes will battle it out in the Eastern Conference semifinals when the New York Rangers square off with the Washington Capitals.
The Rangers have the top seed in the East and in the Metropolitan Region. They are now 57-23-7 on the season after defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins in five games. Washington is the second seed in the Metropolitan Region. The Capitals are now 49-28-12 on the season after disposing of the New York Islanders in seven games. The Rangers will have the home-ice advantage in the series.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Rangers are the favorite to win this series, as they have odds of -205 to prevail, while the Capitals are being given a money line of +175 to win. Game 1 of the series will be held on Thursday at 7:30PM ET.
These two teams met four times during the regular season and New York captured three wins in the four games. The road team actually won the last three meetings between the two. The Rangers have now won seven of their last 10 against the Capitals and the two have pushed or hit the under in seven of their last 10 meetings. However, they hit the over in three of four meetings this season.
