The Blues are the No. 2 seed in the Central region, while the Blackhawks are the No. 3 seed. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, despite having home-ice in the series, St. Louis is the slight underdog to win, as they have odds of -105 to win the series, while the Blackhawks have odds of -115 to win.

St. Louis went 52-23-7 on the season, earning 111 points. The Blues were 28-9-4 at home and 24-14-3 on the road. St. Louis scored a total of 248 goals on the season while allowing just 191, which was the second fewest in the Western Conference.

Chicago was 46-21-15 overall this season, racking up 107 points. The Blackhawks were 27-7-7 at home and 19-14-8 on the road. Chicago scored 267 goals this season while allowing 220. The 267 goals were the most of any team in the NHL this season.
