The Lightning are the second seed of the Atlantic Region while Montreal is the No. 3 seed. According to oddsmakers at, this series is even, as each team has been given a money line of -110 to prevail over the other in this best-of-seven series.

Tampa Bay went 46-27-9 on the season, edging Montreal in points by 1 with 101 on the season. The Lightning were 25-10-6 at home and 21-17-3 on the road. Tampa scored 240 goals while allowing 215 on the season.
