The Flames are the third seed in the Pacific Region, as they went 45-30-7 on the season, tallying a total of 97 points. Vancouver is the second seed in this region, as the Canucks went 48-29-5 on the year and finished with 101 points. Vancouver will have the home-ice advantage in this game.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Vancouver is the favorite in this series, as the Canucks are getting odds of -165 to prevail, while the Flames have been given a money line of +135 to win the series. Game 1 will be held on Wednesday at 10PM ET.
These two teams met four times during the regular season, with each team picking up two wins. The home team won twice and the road team won twice as well. In the four games, Calgary scored a total of 8 goals while Vancouver had a total of nine. Calgary has won the last two meetings, but Vancouver had won eight straight over the Flames prior to that, dating back to 2013.
