Gaudreau, friends to keep hot streak alive
The Flames haven’t lost in regulation for a full month. Still, the ultra-competitive nature of the Western Conference makes Glen Gulutzan’s club anything but a lock to qualify for the playoffs.
With 13 games left in the season, Calgary simply needs to keep stringing together victories against quality opponents. Boston, which visits the Scotiabank Saddledome tonight, certainly falls into that category. Online sports book Bovada.lv gives Johnny Gaudreau & Co. odds to -290 to take care of business on home ice. Conversely, the Bruins represent +245 underdogs.

If the Flames come through in this spot, it will be their franchise-record 11th straight triumph. Gaudreau and the rest of the gang just knocked off Pittsburgh in shootout fashion, 4-3, with No. 13 potting one of those goals. The 23-year-old’s now on pace to eclipse 60 points for the third straight year.
Trying to solve Tuukka Rask, of course, won’t be easy. Boston’s netminder is 3-2-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .924 save percentage in March. Only four netminders possess more Ws than Rask’s 34.
The B’s boast an 18-12-6 record away from TD Garden. Even so, the Flames cleary aren’t messing around at present. Roll with the hosts to prevail in a topsy-turvy affair.
