Florida Panthers Fantasy Spin
Sergei Bobrovsky allowed just one goal on 28 shots in Saturday’s 4-1 road victory against the Detroit Red Wings. Bobrovsky had his best showing in some time, improving to 17-12-4 with a 3.23 goals-against average and .898 save percentage across his 35 appearances to date. The Panthers haven’t gotten all that they had hoped for from Bobrovsky after backing up the Brink’s truck to his house in the offseason, but he hasn’t been awful. There is plenty of time for Bob to right the ship and get hot for the final stretch and what the team hopes is a long playoff run.
Minnesota Wild Fantasy Spin
Alex Stalock will get the nod on Monday night versus Florida. Stalock will make a third straight start after winning his previous two outings. He is coming off a 27-save shutout victory over Dallas on Saturday. Stalock has a record of 11-7-3 this season with a 2.83 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in 24 appearances.
Betting Trends
Florida
The Panthers are 0-4 in their last four games when their opponent scores five goals or more in their previous game.
Minnesota
The Wild are 7-3 in their last 10 games after allowing two goals or less in their previous game.
Our Prediction
The Panthers have won four straight games but they’ve been a bad bet when facing the Wild in previous meetings. Florida is just 1-10 in its last 11 trips to Minnesota and just 6-18 in its last 24 games versus the Wild overall. The home team in this series has won eight of the last 10 meetings, while the Wild have taken four out of their last five games against Atlantic Division opponents.
Monday NHL Prediction: Minnesota Wild -110
