Normally they'd get up and get ready for the next play. Not this time. Tomlinson's helmet came off and Lynch took it with both hands and threw it about 10 yards, drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and the wrath of the crowd.

The San Diego Chargers began to turn around their season with a big victory in Denver in the first week of October. A win over the Broncos this time will help them move closer to a more favorable seed in the playoffs.

Neither the Minnesota Vikings nor the Washington Redskins looked much like a playoff team just a few weeks ago, but both find themselves still in the mix for a postseason berth.
