BEREA, Ohio (AP) – Change could be coming again for the Cleveland Browns. But unlike in past years, there doesn’t seem to be any deep worry about the future.
Maybe that’s because Mike Holmgren is around.
Cleveland’s team president will decide in the coming days whether to keep coach Eric Mangini for a third season. The Browns (5-11) have improved, but has it been enough to satisfy Holmgren, one of the most successful coaches in NFL history?
Holmgren, who took Green Bay and Seattle to the Super Bowl, has left open the possibility of coaching again. Browns quarterback Seneca Wallace played for Holmgren with the Seahawks and believes the 62-year-old still has the itch to return to the sideline.
