DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -The Miami Dolphins are beginning preparations for Sunday’s showdown against the New York Jets without two defensive starters.
Linebacker Channing Crowder and cornerback Will Allen were held out of practice Wednesday but stretched and jogged on the side.
Crowder is the Dolphins’ second-leading tackler. He missed Sunday’s game at Kansas City with a stiff knee. In his absence, Miami gave up a season-high 492 yards.
Allen pulled up limping at one point during the game. His injury has not been disclosed.
The Dolphins would win the AFC East on Sunday if they beat the Jets.
