ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) – Detroit Lions quarterback Shaun Hill has taken snaps with the first-string offense, making it appear he will start against the Miami Dolphins.
Hill practices Wednesday with his injured right finger taped after missing three straight games.
Drew Stanton hurt his left shoulder Sunday at Tampa Bay as he led Detroit to a second straight win.
Matthew Stafford wasn’t on the field during the early parts of practice open to the media. He will likely miss his seventh straight game since aggravating his separated right shoulder. The team hasn’t put Stafford on injured reserve, hoping he might be able to return.
Detroit has doubled last season’s win total of two. It closes the season at Miami and at home against Minnesota.
