BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Bills cornerback Terrence McGee has been placed on injured reserve because of a rotator cuff injury. The team also bolstered its banged-up quarterback ranks by re-signing former third-stringer Gibran (JIH-brawn) Hamdan.
The moves were announced Tuesday as Buffalo (5-9) prepares to play at Atlanta (7-7) this weekend.
McGee is scheduled to have surgery Wednesday, a person familiar with the injury told The Associated Press. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the team has not announced the severity of the injury after McGee was hurt in a 17-10 loss to New England on Sunday.
Hamdan rejoins the Bills after he was released last month. Both starter Ryan Fitzpatrick and backup Trent Edwards were hurt last weekend.
