INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Colts coach Jim Caldwell won’t say how much time receiver Austin Collie could miss after sustaining another concussion.
But Caldwell said Monday that the decision will not be his.
Collie has had two diagnosed concussions in seven weeks and left a third game with what was described as “concussion-like symptoms.”
The second-year receiver was injured when Jaguars linebacker Daryl Smith appeared to hit Collie in the head with a forearm as Collie went low to make a catch. He lay motionless on the field for several minutes, surrounded by trainers and coaches. Eventually, he sat up and walked to the locker room.
He did not return to the game and Caldwell wouldn’t say Monday when he might play again.
