SEATTLE (AP) – Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant has left with a back injury suffered late in the first half against Atlanta.
The team said his return was questionable, but he had not returned to the field midway through the third quarter.
Trufant left on Atlanta’s final drive of the first half. He was replaced by Kennard Cox, because Walter Thurmond – the usual backup cornerback – was inactive Sunday with a hamstring injury.
Atlanta immediately picked on Cox with Matt Ryan completing a 15-yard third-down pass to Roddy White, then hitting Michael Jenkins on a 24-yard touchdown just before halftime. Cox was beat on both plays.
