HOUSTON (AP) -Houston Texans rookie tight end Anthony Hill has a torn knee ligament and will miss the rest of the season.
He is the second tight end the Texans have lost to a season-ending knee injury this season after Owen Daniels went down with a similar injury early in November. The injury to Hill’s left knee leaves Houston with two healthy tight ends in Joel Dreessen and rookie James Casey heading into Sunday’s game at St. Louis.
Hill, a fourth-round pick from North Carolina State, has appeared in five games this season and has one reception for nine yards. He missed some time early in October when he had the first confirmed case of swine flu in an NFL player this season.
