KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -Rookie cornerback Maurice Leggett, who scored touchdowns in each of the last two games, and starting center Rudy Niswanger were both inactive Sunday for Kansas City’s game against San Diego.
Leggett, an undrafted free agent who’s been one of the bright spots this year for the Chiefs, injured his shoulder last week against Denver. Niswanger, the first-year starting center, injured his knee in the Denver game and was replaced by Wade Smith. A six-year veteran, Smith is in his first year with Kansas City.
Also inactive for Kansas City were defensive end Wallace Gilberry and linebacker Donnie Edwards.
Fullback Mike Tolbert and safety Clinton Hart were the only starters inactive for San Diego.
