CINCINNATI (AP) – With three games left, there’s only one question left for the Cincinnati Bengals to answer.
Are they the worst ever?
The Bengals (2-11) have lost 10 consecutive games, matching the club record for one season. The 1993 team under Dave Shula lost its first 10.
That team has been the measuring stick for Bengals failure. As the ’93 season imploded, Shula called his team the worst ever, prompting his top running back to call him the worst coach ever.
There’s been no such outburst on this year’s 10-loss team. But given the high expectations, it will probably go down as the biggest disappointment in club history. Up next is a home game against Cleveland (5-8).
