TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -The Arizona Cardinals placed tight end Leonard Pope on injured reserve and re-signed Tim Euhus on Tuesday.
Pope dislocated his right ankle in Sunday’s 41-21 loss at Seattle. Rookie Ben Patrick will move into Pope’s starting role.
Pope is the latest in a long list of Arizona starters out with season-ending injuries. The group includes quarterback Matt Leinart, safety Adrian Wilson, cornerback Eric Green, defensive ends Bertrand Berry and Chike Okeafor, and offensive tackle Oliver Ross.
A third-round draft pick out of Georgia in 2006, Pope caught 23 passes for 238 yards and five touchdowns this season.
Euhus signed with Arizona in the offseason, but was released on Oct. 12.
