CHICAGO (AP) -New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister was held out of Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
He missed practice Wednesday due to a death in his family and was inactive after a judge extended an injunction against the league’s suspension of him, Will Smith and Charles Grant along with the Vikings’ Kevin Williams and Pat Williams for violating the drug policy. The Saints’ career rushing leader, McAllister has played sparingly this season and had one carry in a win over Atlanta on Sunday.
The Saints were also without starting left tackle Jammal Brown, who sat out with an ankle injury.
held out veteran receiver Marty Booker, who injured his ribs in Sunday’s game against Jacksonville and has been bothered by knee and hamstring problems.
