CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) – Police in a south Denver suburb say Broncos rookie cornerback Perrish Cox has been arrested for investigation of felony sexual assault.
Michelle Kivela, the public information officer for the city of Lone Tree, Colo., says Cox was arrested Thursday night following an investigation into an Oct. 28 incident. He was transported to a nearby county jail.
The case filing has been sealed at the request of the district attorney’s office.
Broncos media relations director Patrick Smyth says the team is aware of the reports and is “currently in the process of gathering information and reviewing the facts.”
Cox has played in 11 games this season after being taken in the fifth round out of Oklahoma State.
