EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -Injured Minnesota Vikings linebacker E.J. Henderson is clear to return to Minnesota.
Henderson had surgery in Phoenix after breaking his left thigh bone in Sunday night’s loss at Arizona. The femur is the longest and strongest bone in the body.
Henderson had been in a hospital. Coach Brad Childress said Wednesday he is cleared to come back.
Henderson’s younger brother, Erin, is a backup linebacker for the Vikings. He says the damage could have been worse and is confident his brother will continue his career. He says it’s too early to set a timetable for the rehabilitation.
