CINCINNATI (AP) -Marc Bulger was inactive for the St. Louis Rams’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, leaving Brock Berlin to make his first regular-season appearance at quarterback.
Bulger sat out last week’s game with a concussion, but returned to practice last week. He started feeling worse near the end of the week, and was listed as inactive.
Second-string quarterback Gus Frerotte replaced Bulger last week against Atlanta, but hurt his throwing shoulder. He was listed as the backup Sunday.
Berlin, an undrafted player out of Miami, signed with the Rams as a free agent in May. He also has spent time with Miami and Dallas.
