LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) – There are many things Jay Cutler has been called over the years, from petulant to talented.
Here’s a new one: winner.
The Chicago Bears are guaranteed to finish above .500 this season, with a 9-3 record heading into Sunday’s home game against the New England Patriots. That means Cutler will have his first winning season since he was a high school senior in Indiana hauling in the winning touchdown in the state championship.
Cutler says he’s not worried about all that. He insists he’s more focused on the task at hand, with one of the NFL’s top teams visiting on Sunday and the Bears trying to end a three-year playoff drought.
