INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer, out since October with an elbow injury, was listed as the Bengals’ third quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Palmer began throwing earlier in the week, although no decision has been made whether he will need surgery.
Among the inactive players for Cincinnati was tight end Ben Utecht, a former Colts player, along with cornerback David Jones, H-back Kenny Watson, safety Chinedum Ndukwe, defensive end Eric Henderson, tackle Levi Jones and defensive end Antwan Odom.
Colts linebacker Gary Brackett, who broke a bone in his leg last week at Cleveland, also was inactive. Others out for Indianapolis were linebackers Tyjuan Hagler and Rurus Alexander, center Jeff Saturday, tight end Jamie Petrowski, receiver Roy Hall, defensive end Curtis Johnson and defensive tackle Keyunta Dawson.
