CLEVELAND (AP) -San Diego running back LaDainian Tomlinson moved up two spots on one list of milestones and stands alone on another.
Tomlinson moved into eighth place on the career rushing list Sunday against the Browns, passing both Jim Brown and Marshall Faulk, while becoming the fastest player to 150 career touchdowns.
Tomlinson’s 11-yard run up the middle with 9:01 left in the fourth quarter moved him into eighth place past Brown, a Hall of Famer who spent his entire career in Cleveland and attended Sunday’s game. Tomlinson had previously passed Faulk on a 3-yard run in the third quarter.
Tomlinson has 12,315 career yards, three more than Brown (12,312) and 36 more than Faulk (12,279).
Tomlinson reached 150 touchdowns in his 137th game, surpassing Emmitt Smith, who did it in 160 games.
