RENTON, Wash. (AP) -The Seattle Seahawks are counting on Mike Williams being able to play against the Carolina Panthers this Sunday.
Williams was able to make it through practice on Friday for the first time since injuring his left foot in New Orleans two weeks ago. He attempted to make a cut downfield and felt a “pop” in his foot that forced him from that game.
Williams worked out before last week’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs but wasn’t able to play.
Coach Pete Carroll said that Williams will need to make it through pregame workouts on Sunday but that the team is counting on him being able to play.
Williams leads the Seahawks with 52 catches for 654 yards on the season.
