INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -It was not even December and Colts coach Jim Caldwell is already hearing the annual questions about resting starters before the end of the season.
Caldwell won’t say what strategy he’ll use over the final five games. But he did say Monday that the team’s coaching staff and front office are considering what to do if the unbeaten Colts lock up the AFC’s top seed. Until then, Caldwell said it’s business as usual.
The Colts learned they had won their sixth division title in seven years while flying back from Houston on Sunday, after Jacksonville lost at San Francisco. Caldwell said there was a short celebration.
The Colts have now won 20 straight regular-season game, one short of the NFL record.
