PHILADELPHIA (AP) -Michael Vick is ready to make his football return to Atlanta.
Vick will play his first game in Atlanta since 2006 when the Philadelphia Eagles visit Sunday. Vick says he’s prepared for the scrutiny that will come this week when he faces his former team for the first time.
Vick was a three-time Pro Bowl quarterback during his six seasons with the Falcons. He served 18 months in federal prison for running a dogfighting ring.
Vick has had limited playing time with the Eagles this season. He has 15 carries for 65 yards and is 3 for 9 for 6 yards passing. He nearly scored his first TD since 2006 in Sunday’s 27-24 win over the Redskins, running 4 yards to the 1.
Vick smiled as he said Atlanta is still “my city” and that he expected a “great reaction” from the crowd.
