DENVER (AP) -Rookie wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, a key contributor as a kick returner and downfield option, is deactivated by Denver on Sunday because of an ankle injury.
However, the Broncos will have one of their top defensive players. Linebacker D.J. Williams, whose practices were limited this week after he took a blow to the head in Monday’s 35-14 loss at San Diego, passed his concussion tests and is cleared to play.
Linebacker Robert Ayers is active for the first time since breaking his foot Oct. 10 at Baltimore.
Cornerback Andre’ Goodman (hip) also is among the Broncos’ inactives. Others included safety Darcel McBath (quadricep) and running back Laurence Maroney, a healthy scratch for the third consecutive game.
The Rams inactives include strong safety Michael Lewis and cornerbacks Kevin Dockery and Quincy Butler.
