GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Davante Adams has been limited in practice because of a heel injury.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Thursday that Adams was ”stepped on” during practice the day before. McCarthy says ”I don’t have high concern” going into Sunday’s home game against the Patriots.
Of all the weeks the Packers would want their full complement of pass catchers, this would be it, given the Patriots’ pair of lockdown corners, Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner. They held Detroit’s Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate to a combined eight receptions for 155 yards and no touchdowns in New England’s 34-9 victory last Sunday, despite Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford targeting his top two receivers 21 times.
