HOUSTON (AP) -Houston Texans owner Bob McNair is disappointed in his “underperforming” team and expects a victory against Tennessee this weekend.
McNair said Wednesday that he was encouraged by the team’s rally from a 23-7 deficit in Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. He was unhappy that the Texans lost in the final minute for the second straight week.
The Texans (4-6) have lost four in a row and six of eight.
McNair says he still has faith in the team and that fans are “going to see some very pleasant things happening in the future.”
Gary Kubiak is 35-39 in five seasons as Houston’s coach. When asked about Kubiak’s future, McNair said he was only thinking about Sunday’s game. McNair added that he will “always do what’s in the best interest of this team.”
