EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs says his right leg feels “really good” after injuring it against Atlanta, and he could’ve returned to the game Sunday.
Jacobs missed the fourth quarter and overtime in the Giants’ 34-31 win after he was tackled by Thomas DeCoud and Stephen Nicholas on a 5-yard run late in the third quarter.
Jacobs says it “wasn’t anything bad,” and participated in full practice on Monday and was expected to again on Tuesday. He walked through the locker room without being visibly hindered and should be ready to go against Denver on Thursday night.
He says while he could’ve gone back in Sunday, Ahmad Bradshaw and Danny Ware were playing well enough to allow him to spend time on the sideline.
