INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Colts receiver Austin Collie will not play Sunday night against San Diego.
Team officials say he will be held out as a precaution after leaving last weekend’s game in the first quarter. Team president Bill Polian says that hit made Collie “uncomfortable.”
Collie had missed Indy’s Nov. 14 game with a concussion sustained in a frightening collision a week earlier at Philadelphia.
Safety Bob Sanders also will sit out this week.
Running back Joseph Addai is scheduled to participate in non-contact drills this week. He hasn’t played since Oct. 17 because of a nerve injury in his left shoulder.
Indy also put defensive back Chip Vaughn on injured reserve and signed free agent defensive back Al Afalava.
