RENTON, Wash. (AP) -Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams suffered an undisclosed injury to his left foot late in Sunday’s loss to New Orleans, but it’s not as severe as first thought.
Coach Pete Carroll didn’t have a specific name for Williams’ injury on Monday and said team physicians have never seen this type of injury. He said Williams felt a pop in his foot and that he’ll be evaluated daily.
Cornerback Marcus Trufant suffered a concussion early in the game and will be monitored closely during the week. Carroll said offensive guard Chester Pitts sprained his ankle and his availability for Sunday’s game against Kansas City is unknown.
Carroll also said defensive tackle Colin Cole, who has missed the past three games with a high-ankle sprain is still a couple of weeks away.
