NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Washington running back Clinton Portis has joined a growing list of injuries for the Redskins against Tennessee, re-injuring the groin that kept him out the past five games.
Portis started and had five carries for 32 yards. But he got hurt and wasn’t seen on the sideline. Team officials had no immediate word on his condition.
Washington safety Anderson Russell, who started for LaRon Landry, slid to the turf and hurt his leg on an 87-yard punt return by Marc Mariani in the first quarter. He had to be helped off the field, and his return is questionable.
Also, center Casey Rabach’s return was questionable with a knee injury, with Will Montgomery sliding over from right guard where started for Artis Hicks.
Linebacker Lorenzo Alexander hurt a hamstring and his return was questionable. Lineman Derrick Dockery also had to be helped off the field in the second quarter and went to the locker room.
Linebacker Rocky McIntosh went down late in the second quarter with a thigh injury.
Titans defensive tackle Jason Jones has hurt his right knee on the Redskins’ opening series of the game, and his return was questionable.
