FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -Darrelle Revis held Randy Moss to four catches and 24 yards the first time the Jets played the Patriots.
If New York has any chance of beating New England on Sunday and saving its season, it could largely depend on whether Revis can blanket the Patriots’ playmaking receiver again.
After shutting down Moss in Week 2, Revis was praised by his teammates, coaches and pretty much anyone else who saw the game. Everyone, that is, except for Moss.
He refused to give Revis any credit, saying the Jets cornerback had help from the safeties and that really contributed to Moss having a lousy game. Revis insists he played Moss man-to-man for most of the game, and doesn’t care if the Patriots receiver doesn’t see it that way.
