ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -Turns out there’s no rest for the winners, either.
Buffalo Bills coach Chan Gailey says there’s still a lot of work to be done for a team with a 1-8 record. That’s why he had players report for meetings Monday, a day after Buffalo became the NFL’s last team to secure a victory this season by beating Detroit 14-12.
Gailey doesn’t want anyone to lose focus or endure a setback after the Bills ended what had been their third-worst start to a season – and worst since going 0-11 in 1984. His objective is to win a second game as Buffalo prepares to play at Cincinnati (2-7) on Sunday.
Defensive tackle Kyle Williams didn’t mind coming in to work. He joked that the sun shone much brighter when he woke up.
