CINCINNATI (AP) -The Bengals are stuck in the bad old days.
Some of their fans showed up wearing brown paper bags on their heads for a 23-17 loss at Indianapolis on Sunday. It was Cincinnati’s sixth straight loss, dropping it to 2-7 in another wasted season. The Bengals have a dozen losing streaks of six or more games during the last 20 years.
The latest was self-imposed. Cincinnati had five turnovers that decided the game.
They also lost kicker Mike Nugent, who tore up his right knee late in the game. Cornerback Morgan Trent also is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
