CINCINNATI (AP) -The Bengals put linebacker Caleb Miller on injured reserve Tuesday and claimed linebacker Roy Manning off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars, looking to add depth to their most depleted position.
Miller missed the last six games with a sore back. The move to the injured list ends his season.
Manning is a third-year player with limited NFL experience. He played in 15 games in 2005 for Green Bay, which originally signed him as an undrafted free agent from Michigan. He appeared in one game for Houston last year, when he ended the season on Buffalo’s roster.
He played for the Jaguars in the preseason and was signed by Jacksonville last week. He was on the inactive list for the Jaguars game at Tennessee on Sunday.
