CINCINNATI (AP) -Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer was held out of practice Wednesday with a sore passing shoulder, but is expected to be ready for a game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Palmer also has been bothered by a sore hip this season, causing him to miss practice time. He was sacked four times during a 27-21 loss to Pittsburgh on Monday night that dropped the defending AFC North champions to 2-6. Coach Marvin Lewis declined to say whether Palmer hurt the shoulder during the game.
Receiver Chad Ochocinco also missed practice Wednesday, but Lewis says he’ll play Sunday in Indianapolis as well. Lewis also said right tackle Andre Smith left practice early after getting “stepped on.”
