KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -The Kansas City Chiefs would have a difficult time counting up all the mistakes that kept them from beating Oakland and seizing a 2 1/2-game lead in the AFC West.
There were penalties, dropped passes, interceptions and kicking breakdowns.
But as big a factor as any in the Raiders’ 23-20 overtime win was the fact they held KC almost 80 yards under its league-leading rushing average.
The Chiefs had run for more than 200 yards in each of their three previous games. But they managed only 112 yards rushing against the Oakland defense. And Jamaal Charles got only 10 carries.
