TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -Arizona Cardinals tight end Leonard Pope returned to practice on Friday and might be able to play against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.
“He looked good,” coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “He actually did everything today, which is surprising.”
Pope and fellow tight end Ben Patrick were listed as questionable for the 49ers. Pope has missed the last two games with an ankle injury. Patrick has missed three with a knee injury.
Their injuries left Jerame Tuman as the only healthy tight end before the team signed Stephen Spach last week.
Cornerback Eric Green missed Friday’s practice after being limited in previous two days with a sore knee. He also was listed as questionable.
If Green can’t play, rookie Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie would replace him.
Overall, Whisenhunt said the Cardinals were in good health going into Monday night’s game.
“It was nice to have an extra day this week,” he said, “because we had a lot of guys who made a lot of progress with their nicks and bruises.”
