KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -Chiefs running back Larry Johnson is almost certain to miss Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos because of a foot injury. Kansas City coach Herm Edwards said Tuesday it was ``highly unlikely'' the Pro Bowl player would play. Johnson hurt his right foot during the fourth quarter of last weekend's 33-22 loss to Green Bay. Priest Holmes is expected to move up on the depth chart and will share time with rookie Kolby Smith. The 34-year-old Holmes has made an unexpected comeback after missing almost two years because of a spinal injury. Even with Johnson, Kansas City is averaging only 79.5 yards on the ground, 30th in the league. |
