LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger injured his right shoulder and was replaced by Byron Leftwich to start the second half of Pittsburgh’s game against the Washington Redskins on Monday night.
Roethlisberger jogged out from the locker room onto the sideline as Pittsburgh was lining up to run its second play of the third quarter.
He scored a touchdown on a 1-yard sneak late in the second quarter to make it 10-6.
Leftwich led the Steelers to a touchdown on his first drive, which included a 50-yard completion to Nate Washington. The score put Pittsburgh ahead 16-6 early in the third quarter.
